Hi folks,

our Internet will be going off in the old house(here) but not back on for about a week in the new house in Witherslack so I will not be online for a while. I am currently 3/4 moved and absolutely knacked now having not stopped for two days but all the big stuff is through so can slow down a bit now- phew Very Happy

As for wildlife I have already found a baby bat on the house wall, seen roe deer next to the garden and seen a hole leading into the garden with badger hair caught on the fence! I have also seen hawkers of some sort in the garden so cant wait to get properly moved and see what else comes to see us Very Happy

So bye for now

Dave

Good luck with the move Davo, I hope it all goes well thumbsup !

Having seen where your new house is i'm expecting you'll get Woodpeckers, Nuthatch, Squiggles(rouge?), owls & allsorts.

What I'll be surprised to find you getting will be - electricity, internet, hot water and a postal service - but fingers crossed you do get all of the above.

Dave's new house isn't quite at the back of beyond - but you can see it from there Crazy .

Wishing you good luck with the move Dave thumbsup . I know Witherslack well as we have holiday'd in the village a couple of times and I conceed to being green with envy, a super place with amazing wildlife in and around.

The Witherslack squiggles are a little more "monochrome" Cliff, but the orchids in the wooded hill next to the pub are stunning. I might just find out if the pub does rooms Confused Smile

A genuine Witherslack squiggle, from the cottage opposite the church:

I had an update from Dave last night saying (& I'm paraphrasing here) because of one cockup after another by his service providers, it could be another 10 days before he finally gets back online Shocked Shocked Shocked . Apparantly the phone Coy cut off his new phone line instead of the old one, then his ISP people have forgotten to reactivate something.
You'd think they could click something on a computer somewhere to effect the changes immediately, of course it doesn't help matters that to try & resolve things you have to speak to someone in Mumbai who has only a basic grasp of English.
